27 Nov 2010

The England Team has recently returned from the European Shotokan Karate Championships in Koblenz, Germany. Sendai Kushiro members, Sensei John Bruce, Holly Sterling and Megan Dent were selected as part of a very strong team and did the club proud.

Sensei John James was in the senior male team that took Silver in the Senior Male Team Kumite event, beating Scotland, Russia and Switzerland on the way to the final against Germany. Holly Sterling performed excellently taking a Bronze in the ladies team Kumite. Megan Dent, competing for the first time at this level performed very well. The event was very well attended and the standard is extremely high as always. Big congratulations to all of the England team for an excellent performance.
