Grand Slam 2014

Many Congratulations to Holly Sterling, Martin Fraser, Sam Light, Beth Nicholson, Ryan Spencer, Alice Jewitt, Adam Gibson, Bethaney Miller and Jamie Allan on an excellent performance at the Grand Slam on Saturday 30th August 2014.

Holly Sterling continued her excellent run of success winning the Ladies Kata event in tremendous style with an excellent showing of Kata Gojushihosho.

Sam Light competing in the Junior Male Kumite just missed out on a place in the final taking 3rd place after some excellent fights, Sam also made the final of the Male Kata taking 4th place with a very good demonstation of Gankaku.

Beth Nicholson alsorformed very well making it to the final, only losing by a narrow margin to the current World Champion.

Ryan Spencer competiting in both Kata and Kumite events since a long term injury stopped him competiting for numerous months came back on the scene taking 3rd place in the cadet Kumite. 

Jamie Allan continued his excellent competition form in 2014 by making it to the final of the under 16 Male Kumite, unfortunatley Jamie was withdrawn after fracturing his hand and therefore ending with 2nd place.

Team events ended the day with Beth Nicholson taking 1st in under 21 Team Kumite, Sam Light took 1st in the under 21 Team Kumite and Ryan Spencer 1st in Cadet Team Kumite.
