KUGB Grand Slam

Many Congratulations to Holly Sterling, Martin Fraser, Chris Hamilton, Sam Light, Beth Nicholson, Ryan Spencer and Joshua Campbell on an excellent performance at the Grand Slam on Saturday 16th March 2013.

Outstanding performances were recorded from Holly Sterling who won both Ladies Kata and Kumite events in tremendous style, Chris Hamilton winning 18-20 Junior Kumite on his first competition after moving up a category and Ryan Spencer continued with his impressive form at the Grand Slam events, since being selected onto the squad in 2012, recording another 1st place in the under 16 Male Kumite. Beth Nicholson rounded off an excellent start to the year with a 3rd place in the 16-20 Junior female Kumite.

Team events ended the day with Beth Nicholson taking 1st in under 21 Team Kumite, Chris Hamilton and took 1st in the under 21 Team Kumite, while Holly Sterling was also on the winning England Team that was victoious in the Senior Ladies Team Kumite.
